Menopause After Dark is a bold, music-driven micro short that follows a high-functioning woman as her carefully managed life begins to unravel. Hot flashes, mood swings, brain fog, and an overwhelming flood of unsolicited advice and modern fixes close in from every direction, all set against a stylized 90s hip hop aesthetic that treats her inner chaos as the spectacle it truly is.
As the noise builds and control slips away, the film shifts from chaos to clarity, revealing that there is no quick fix. Only a deeper acceptance, and a new kind of power.

Menopause After Dark marks her debut as a filmmaker. Now over 50, she is committed to telling stories that center women who are complex, funny, and impossible to ignore.
"Menopause After Dark came from something deeply personal, but also incredibly universal.
What I have experienced, and what I see in so many women around me, is that we are often navigating this phase of life quietly, expected to push through, keep showing up for everyone else, and somehow hold it all together. At the same time, there is so much humor, energy, and life still inside of us.
I wanted to create something that says clearly, you are not alone. I see you. I am you. We are in this together.
The 90s hip hop framework gave us the language to take something internal and make it loud, visual, and impossible to ignore. The tone reflects the women I know. We are tough, we are funny, and we are fully alive in the middle of all of it.
Menopause After Dark is not about fixing anything. It is about owning where we are, finding joy even in the hard moments, and reminding women that they are still powerful, vibrant, and fully alive."
